SAVI Davison wasted no time stamping her authority on the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Fil-Canadian star produced a monster all-around showing with 26 points, 11 digs and 10 receptions as PLDT swept Creamline in straight sets on Thursday in the two teams' season debut.
While the 2025 PVL Invitational MVP was the clear offensive and defensive spearhead for the High Speed Hitters, it was what she saw on the opposite side of the net that gave her pause.

For Davison, the sight of a fully intact Creamline lineup, a rarity in recent conferences, was enough to raise the stakes even before the opening serve.
“They were pretty intimidating when they came out. I’m not going to lie, seeing all of them complete, I knew that it was going to be a hard match,” Davison admitted.
Intimidation, however, didn’t translate into hesitation as Davison went on to torch the floor on both ends, barely letting a ball drop as she powered PLDT to a statement win in just three sets.
Still, one returning face proved to be a particularly tricky puzzle for her to solve.
Davison pointed to the return of Alas Pilipinas Women captain Jia de Guzman as a major wrinkle in navigating the Cool Smashers’ defense, noting how different the champions looked with their longtime playmaker back in charge.
“Her hands are really hard to read, I’m not going to lie. I thought I could swing either way but with that coming out, the whole lineup together, I don’t think I’ve seen that since the first year I was here since there’s always been one or two people that were missing,” she said.
“Having Jia back, she didn’t even play with Creamline before when I just started. So seeing them all together and seeing how individually they’re strong athletes, it can be a little intimidating when you’re watching them line up.
“I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s not one weak link here. They’re fierce.’”
