The young UP squad is looking to rebound from its four-set loss to NU, and Lady Maroons coach Jerry Yee pins his hopes on Diana Carlos, Justine Dorog, Isa Molde, Katherine Bersola, Marian Buitre and Mae Basarte.
Ateneo scored a morale-boosting win over also-ran University of Sto. Tomas but will next face a tough FEU side that is also looking to get some momentum heading to the semifinals.
An Ateneo loss will send the Lady Eagles to a playoff against the loser of the SSC-UP match.
In the Spikers Turf, FEU and La Salle, tied at 3-1, clash at 10 a.m., with the winner joining NU (4-1) in the next round.
Defending champion Ateneo swept Group B to advance. UST (3-1) tries to secure a semifinal seat when it takes on also-ran Emilio Aguinaldo College at 12 p.m.
A UST loss will send the Tigers to a knockout match against the UP Maroons (3-2).
