SAN Beda kept its semifinal hopes alive in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, defeating University of Perpetual Help, 25-19, 25-15, 9-25, 25-21, on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan.

SBU copped its second win in six outings, tied with College of St. Benilde at the fifth spot behind University of the Philippines (3-3).

“Malaking bagay sa amin ‘yun kung makakuha kami ng playoff man lang,” said San Beda coach Nemesio Gavino Jr.

“Kailangan talunin yung UP kasi humahaba ‘yung laro mas maganda exposure para sa amin kasi semifinals mas mabigat ‘yung laban eh,” he added.

San Beda will face UP on Sunday, while CSB and Perpetual Help clash on Saturday.
