UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas swept San Sebastian College, 25-21, 25-12, 25-17, in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference on Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.

Milena Alessandrini led the way for UST with nine points, while Kecelyn Galdones had eight and Eya Laure added seven.

Even without its top hitter Sisi Rondina, the Tigresses managed to finish the match in one hour and ninue minutes.

“Si Eya Laure, siyempre, talk of the town. Kilala naman ng mga tao 'yun. Galing 'yan sa programa namin sa high school,” said UST coach Kungfu Reyes.

“Ito na 'yung programa na hinihintay namin,” he added. “'Yung programa namin na talagamg sariling gawa, nandito na. Bago um-exit sila Sisi, may makakatulong sila, makaka-angat sana kami.”

UST joined Adamson University and Far Eastern University in the upper half of the standing holding a 1-0 win-loss record.

Joyce Sta. Rita scored nine points for SSC, which started the conference with a loss along with University of Perpetual Help and College of St. Benilde.
