RISA Sato is keeping everyone guessing when it comes to a possible return to Creamline.
Asked point-blank if a comeback is in play, the PVL’s most decorated champion player and three-time best middle blocker offered nothing more than a brief yet playful response.
“No comment,” she said with a laugh and smile to SPIN.ph on Tuesday.

That was the lone statement from Sato, leaving the door neither fully open nor completely shut on a reunion with the Cool Smashers.
Sato’s ties to Creamline run deep as the 31-year-old Fil-Japanese middle blocker is an 11-time PVL champion and was part of all 10 championships won by the franchise to date, anchoring the middle through multiple title runs.

Her absence from the court over the past months came as she embraced a new chapter off it.
Sato gave birth to her firstborn with MPBL player Enzo Joson in November last year, an extended leave that coincided with the eventual disbandment of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
Giving some signs?
Still, her recent appearance did not go unnoticed.
Sato was at the sidelines during Creamline’s Game 1 victory over Cignal in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals on Tuesday, and was even wearing her old Creamline jersey.
And even prior to that, she paid a few visits to Creamline training sessions over the course of the conference.
Whether those moments were simply support for a former team or something more remains unclear.
