ALYSSA Valdez bared her Bureau of Customs team still needs more experience in playing together if they hope to contend in the Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference.

Valdez said this on the heels of a 25-22, 25-22, 25-14 loss to Pocari Sweat at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Saturday.

"We really need the experience pa. Syempre individually marami na kaming nalaruan but yung fact din na iba rin talaga pag matagal na magkakasama," said Valdez.

Despite finishing with a game-high 18 points, Valdez struggled to help her team win at least a set. Their best chance to do so came in the second frame where the Transformers held a 20-15 lead, but they squandered it.

Behind import Breanna Mackie, the Lady Warriors went on with a furious 10-2 rally to win the set and brought that energy in the third frame where they dominated BOC, 25-14.

But Valdez said they don't plan to dwell on the tough loss, saying they will put this behind and make the adjustments in the hope of booking a ticket to the semifinals.

"But we can't make excuses at the same time, we need to move on and move forward and prepare for our next games," said Valdez, whose team holds a 3-2 card.

"Kailangan ma-gain namin yung confidence namin and marami kaming matutunan and mag-jell as a team para kung makakapasok man kami sa next round, mas fluid kami gumalaw as a team. Yung connection kailangan nandun talaga yun," she added.
