FORMER PVL champion coach Hideo Suzuki was arrested in Japan on charges of committing acts of obscenity towards an unnamed female acquaintance.

A report from the Mizushima Police Station cited a 48-year-old man who formerly coached a Japanese volleyball club, eventually identified as 2023 PVL Invitational champion Kurashiki Ablaze, as the primary suspect now under police custody.

The incident was said to have taken place on May 17 this year, some time in the afternoon at a room located at the southern Okayama Prefecture.

Charges were filed by the victim six days later.

Suzuki denied the charges, citing how he ‘does not remember’ any of the accusations thrown at him.
