RACHEL Daquis and Jolina dela Cruz will finally don the Farm Fresh orange on the taraflex itself.
Foxies head coach Benson Bocboc bared the two have been cleared to play after more than a year away from the court.
“I think may go-signal na sila lahat [to play],” said Bocboc.

“We’re taking this time para ma-insert sila du’n sa sistema na meron ‘yung team. Hopefully, enough ‘yung time para makapaglaro kaagad sila pagbalik ng New Year, but definitely within the month.”
Also in line to make her PVL debut is former Adamson middle blocker Lorene Toring who, like dela Cruz, was held back by a year-long recovery from an ACL injury.
Long way back
Dela Cruz last played in the PVL late in the 2023 All-Filipino Conference just before the disbandment of her F2 Logistics team.
The ex-La Salle spiker twisted her right leg mid-game in the Cargo Movers’ no-bearing preliminary round finale match with PLDT in the 2023 All-Filipino Conference. Not long after, the team disbandment in December.
Despite her injury, she’d quickly find a new home less than a month later as one of the Foxies’ nine new signings for the 2024 season.
Meanwhile, 37-year-old Daquis will end an 18-month volleyball hiatus, as she makes her much-awaited league comeback.
The veteran spiker took time away from the sport to attend a coaches’ camp in the US and, more importantly, fulfill her culinary passion project in ‘Forn de Manila,’ the first Filipino bakery in Barcelona, Spain.
Daquis, however, heeded one more call of duty with a clean slate alongside the young Foxies after ending her six-year Cignal stint.
With only two wins in five matches in the ongoing 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference, Farm Fresh can turn its fortunes around with a full-strength squad at hand beginning Jan. 18 against winless Nxled.
