PVL fans are out in force for the championship decider of the league’s longest conference yet.
A huge buildup of fans has reached the ends of Meralco Avenue in Pasig City ahead of the winner-take-all Game Three of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals between Creamline and Petro Gazz.
Separate tickets were sold for the battle of third finale between Akari and Choco Mucho — one won by the Chargers in four sets.
As of posting time, the egress of fans after the bronze medal match has now coincided with the imminent ingress of fans for the championship game.
Thousands of fans, mixed from those already with tickets and last-minute ticket buyers, are still lined up around an hour before first serve.
It remains uncertain whether all fans outside the Pasig City venue will gain entry to the arena with only one main entrance and exit passages..
Philsports Arena has a capacity of 10,000 fans, as per the most recent available data online.
The said venue became the league’s last resort due to scheduling conflicts in the metro’s bigger sporting venues such as the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City where the first two finals games were held and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The UAAP Season 87 volleyball tournaments were held in the former and a K-pop concert of renowned BTS member J-Hope will be staged in the latter.
