FOR a young and rebuilding Farm Fresh side, the growing pains of the present could bode well for a promising future.
The Foxies entered their second game of the second round coming off a two-game skid to sister sides PLDT and Cignal.
Despite the promise of a new Japanese mentor in Shota Sato and an intact core of attackers, prolific individual performances have yet to translate to a consistent string of victories.

Still, they find themselves hanging on to eighth place by the skin of their teeth with a 3-4 record with just one more match to play in the preliminaries.
Even as wins didn’t go their way, however, team captain Louie Romero and mainstay Trisha Tubu share an all-important virtue that continues to fuel the Foxies in the face of adversity.
Patience.
The-ex Adamson pair also pointed out how maturity, through time, must come into play across the board for young Farm Fresh. It may not have the results it longs for, at least for now, but should be at the core of their future campaigns moving forward.
Patience in the process
To reach the playoffs altogether, though, it’ll take more than just patience for Farm Fresh to get the job done.
Although the Foxies found a way to eighth place with an assignment left on their ledger, their fate won’t solely be in their hands from here on out.

More than a few results have to go Farm Fresh’s way, including a pair of defeats from the likes of embattled title contenders Petro Gazz and Choco Mucho, to lock in a playoff spot.
But it will all be made possible if they’ll overcome a tall order in their prelims finale against the PVL’s last unbeaten team Akari in its hunt to lock in the top seed.
