THE stage is set for the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference qualifying round as prelims play came to a thrilling end in Passi, Iloilo.
With PLDT and Choco Mucho winning their final prelims matches in straight sets, all 12 teams have been ranked ahead of the next stage of the competition.
The High Speed Hitters secured the 4-seed over the Flying Titans despite sharing identical 8-3 records.

It was by virtue of PLDT’s 23 match points over Choco Mucho’s 20 which gave league-leading scorer Savi Davison & Co. the 4-seed vs. 9-seed matchup with ZUS Coffee.
This meant Sisi Rondina’s Choco Mucho side will settle for the 5-seed and will play 8-seed Chery Tiggo again in the next round.
As spectators to the prelims finale, 6-seed Farm Fresh and 7-seed Akari will go head-to-head after sharing 5-6 records and 15 match points apiece.
The Foxies hold a superior set ratio over the Chargers to secure the higher seeding (FFF 0.818 - 0.727 AKA).
The six winning teams will go straight to the best-of-three quarterfinals while the six losers will be relegated to pool play in the play-in tournament, with the last two playoffs spots up for grabs.
