Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses likes what he’s seeing after his team posted its ninth straight victory in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Cool Smashers gave Jema Galanza a fitting birthday gift by whipping Cherry Tigo, 25-22, 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, on Tuesday.
"Masaya ako kasi lahat ng rotation maganda kahit sinong ipasok, hindi lang 'yung basta ipapasok mo bago maging maganda. 'Yung nasa loob naman laging maganda yung ginagalaw at happy kami, kasi team effort yung nangyayari," Meneses said.

Galanza, who turned 27, produced 16 points on 13 attacks, two blocks, one ace, and one dig as Creamline snapped Cherry Tiggo’s winning streak at six games.
Cherry Tiggo, however, stayed in third place with an 8-2 win-loss record ahead of its final game with semis-bound Choco Mucho in four days’ time.
Galanza said she's happy that the team stays unbeaten as she looks forward to seeing teammates getting more playing time.
"Gusto rin naming matapos ‘yung elimination round ng panalo lahat. Sa mga darating pa naming games, pag-aaralan namin kung paano kami gumalaw sa court. Kung pwede pang may maglalaro pa na ibang teammates ko, bakit hindi ‘di ba?” she said.
The birthday girl said preparation is the key.
"Mas maganda rin na lahat talaga nakakapag-prepare kasi medyo mabigat talaga ‘tong semis na ‘to and for sure, talagang lahat gusto makapasok sa finals. Kaya ayun, magandang preparation sa’min ‘to," she said.
Defense played a key role as Creamline defenders held Eya and EJ Laure to nine and eight points, respectively.
Galanza also got able offensive support from Tots Carlos and Pangs Panaga who fired 16 and 10 markers, respectively.
