Reigning champion Creamline earlier secured a spot in the next round where they will be joined by foreign guest teams Kurashiki Ablaze and Kinh Bac Bac Ninh.

“Kapag may magagandang pasa, mas madaling maka-play ’yung gitna kaya thankful din ako kay ate Kim [Fajardo] na minaximize niya ’yung mga plays sa ’kin ... at thankful din ako sa trust ng coaches na ako ’yung ginagamit,” Baron said as she continues to play more minutes for the Cargo Movers in the midseason tilt.
F2 coach Regine Diego said she never doubted Baron.
“Andaming nagsasabi na ‘hindi na kaya ni Majoy [Baron], she’s getting old’ but I never really cared about that. I know this girl has the heart and the fire in her. Kailangan lang ilabas, kailangan lang ng time, kailangan lang ng recovery,” Diego added.
Ivy Lacsina had a statement outing on offense with a team high 16 points on 11 attacks, three aces, and two blocks.
Jasmine Nabor had nine points for Foton, which prepares for to face Gerflor in the battle for eleventh place.
F2’s win sends Petro Gazz to the classification match for ninth place against Akari.
