RETURNING imports headline the third season of Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, which opens on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan City.
Sports Vision President Ricky Palou and tournament director Tony Boy Liao together with Creamline star Alyssa Valdez and BanKo’s Dzi Gervacio bared their imports in the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday at the Amelie Hotel Manila.
Palou said that Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. will release the international transfer certificates this week before the opener over the weekend.
“I think we won’t have problems this time around. Peter Cayco, president of the LVPI, is working on getting the ITCs. So we’re expecting to get the ITCs this week,” Palou said.
Returning Thai import Kuttika Kaewpin leads Creamline’s title-retention bid together with new partner Venezuelan reinforcement Aleoscar Blanco together with Valdez, Michele Gumabao, Jia Morado, Jema Galanza and Melissa Gohing.
Meanwhile, Kia Bright returns to BanKo seeking for redemption after a third place finish last year. She will team up with Turkish import Yasemin Sahin Yildirim
New team Motolite parades Cuban import Gyselle Silva, who set a 56-point record for Smart last 2018 Philippine Superliga . The Cuban star will be joined by ex-Pocari Sweat import Edina Selimovica of Bosnia and Herzegovina and local stars Myla Pablo, Isa Molde, Tots Carlos, Eli Soyud and Thang Ponce.
Former BaliPure import Janisa Johnson will be on a different team this time leading PetroGazz with Cuban Wilma Salas and locals Paneng Mercado, Jeanette Panaga, Jovie Prado and Chie Saet.
Ex-Petro Gazz import Olena Lymareva of Ukraine and newcomer Jenelle Jordan of USA banner returning club Pacific Town Army led by National team mainstay Jovelyn Gonzaga.
BaliPure also makes its return to the PVL with imports Danijela Dzakovic of Montenegro and Alexandra Vajdova of Slovakia.
