POCARI Sweat-Air Force top hitter Myla Pablo was ruled out of the remainder of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Lady Warriors top hitter sustained a back injury during the warmup before their do-or-die semifinal match against Creamline on Friday at The Arena in San Juan.
Pablo, who was obviously in pain when medics were attending to her, did not see action in the crucial game that Pocari Sweat-Air Force eventually lost, 15-25, 18-25, 16-25.
“Hindi na namin siya palalaruin, sa All-Filipino (Open Conference) na lang siya (maglalaro),” said Pocari Sweat-Air Force coach Jasper Jimenez.
The veteran mentor pointed out that Pablo’s absence on the court spelled the difference for the team.
“Hinahanap talaga sa team kanina na hindi pwedeng walang Myla Pablo. Bumaba ang morale, lahat bumaba,” said Jimenez.
Pocari Swear-Air Force was relegated to the battle for third and will face the loser between BanKo Perlas and PayMaya.
