THE Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is still in the process of finalizing the player-lending setup for PVL teams ahead of the remainder of the national team calendar.
With tournaments such as 2025 VTV Cup and the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) V.League still to come before the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, at least two teams in Creamline and Choco Mucho have already pledged to lend their players to Alas Pilipinas.

Alas and returning Creamline captain Jia de Guzman confirmed the Rebisco management’s full support for the national team by allowing them to focus on Alas duty.
“Right now kasi, it’s really national team period. Klaro naman po yung usapan namin ng Rebisco management that while the Alas players are needed by the national team, our focus is here,” said de Guzman.

“It’s not just me that’s in the pool from the Rebisco family. It’s also Maddie [Madayag] and now it’s also Tia Andaya,” de Guzman said.
“Very clear naman yung management and very supportive because they know that when they send us to the national team, we come back with better experiences that can help Creamline and Choco Mucho in their campaigns.”
As such, their participation in the upcoming PVL on Tour from June to August still hangs in the balance.
“In terms of timeline, I cannot answer anything yet but when I do, I will be sure to let everyone know.”
The PVL’s preseason run will see the league take its matches to various provinces nationwide, with stops in Vigan, Batangas, Isabela and Iloilo already confirmed.
A call for cooperation
As has been the case in years past, Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon 'Tats' Suzara pled to the PVL to extend its cooperation ahead of a busy stretch for the nationals to end the year.
"I need to talk to the PVL, and the clubs themselves because the SEA Games falls on the club season," Suzara said.
"If Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam adjust their club season, why not us? Hindi rason ‘yun na dahil may club season, hindi mag-adjust. Bakit ang Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia they are adjusting their club season.
"It’s a matter of cooperation. So at least twice a week. You train maybe three times a week sa club, then twice lang sa national team, that’s good enough."
