PLDT Home Ultera looks to extend its unbeaten run to five and claim the first semifinal berth when it takes on struggling Philippine Navy on Thursday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 12 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
The Ultra Fast Hitters led by Alyssa Valdez, Jaja Santiago and Sue have scored four wins in four matches, and another victory will secure their place in the semifinals. They are coming off a four-set win Cagayan Valley, the first match where they dropped a set after blanking their rivals in the first three matches.
Navy, on the other hand, is coming off a tough five-set win over Fourbess Perpetual and holds an even 2-2 card and the squad led by Carissa Martinez, Jolina Labiano and Hezzymie Acuna hopes to finally string up consecutive wins.
The match starts at 4:00 p.m. after the showdown between struggling squads Baguio and Fourbees-Perpetual at 2 o’clock.
The Summer Spikers (1-4) and Lady Altas (1-3) are both coming off losses and try to keep alive their fading semifinal chances.
