IT IS 10 wins in as many matches for preseason champion PLDT after routing Cignal, 25-19, 25-13, 25-22, in the 2025 PVL Invitational on Saturday at the Philsports Arena.
The High Speed Hitters reach another franchise milestone with their longest win streak in their seven-year history.

PLDT’s historic win run is now comprised of a perfect eight-game PVL on Tour sweep and back-to-back Invitational wins over Chery Tiggo and now Cignal.
For the first time, PLDT had its full roster out in force with Alas Pilipinas’ Dell Palomata and Alleiah Malaluan integrated to the rest of the team’s core in Savi Davison and La Salle aces Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, Mika Reyes and Kim Fajardo.

"Happy po kami kasi naku-kumpleto kami and nagle-less na rin yung strain per position kasi nag-iikutan na [ng tao]," said team captain Kath Aarado with 11 digs and eight receptions.
"At the same time, hindi pa rin talaga namin naiisip yung wala pa kaming talo kasi tini-treat talaga namin siya game by game."
PLDT has moved closer to a second straight PVL Finals appearance with Kobe Shinwa and ZUS Coffee left in its schedule as it now holds a 3-0 record after getting a win from the 'On Tour' semifinals carried over to this tournament.
Savi Davison’s first game back as a PVL champion was nothing short of impressive with 17 points, seven receptions and six digs.
Alleiah Malaluan put up another stellar showing in her second outing for the High Speed Hitters with 12 points on 55 percent efficiency.
Taft towers Kianna Dy and the preseason’s best middle blocker Majoy Baron produced 11 and 10 points, respectively.
High-speed finish
It was all PLDT from start to finish, having led all throughout the first set aided by 10 unforced errors from Cignal.
Davison & Co. went the extra mile and had the luxury of an 11-point cushion come the second frame.
Bar an early six-point run in Set 3, Cignal showed no signs of life in the match as ex-PLDT ace Erika Santos' 10 markers went for naught.
Only Cignal and ZUS Coffee remain winless in the Invitationals.
