THE PVL is set to pick up from where it left off as the preseason finale matchups will also be the opening twin bill of the 2025 Invitational Conference.
A rematch of both the PVL on Tour battle for third and last year's Invitationals finals between Creamline and Cignal will kick off hostilities on Aug. 21, 4 p.m. at the Philsports Arena.
It will be followed by a preseason finals grudge match featuring newly-crowned preseason champion PLDT and Chery Tiggo at 6:30 p.m.

All six teams will then see action on the second day of the Invitationals on Aug. 23 at the same Pasig City venue.
Japanese champion teams Kobe Shinwa University and Kurashiki Ablaze will square off at 1:30 p.m., followed by a sister-team duel between PLDT and Cignal and a battle of powerhouses in Creamline and Chery Tiggo.
The remaining prelims match days will be played on Aug. 25 and 26 at the Philsports Arena and Aug. 28 and 29 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The battle for third and championship games will both be on Aug. 31, still at the Big Dome.
10-day Invitationals sprint
For the Invitationals, a single round-robin format will be used in which the top two teams advance to the championship game and teams ranked third and fourth compete for the bronze.
The only exception will be the PVL on Tour semifinal duels between Creamline-PLDT and Cignal-Chery Tiggo as these matchups won’t be played in the Invitationals anymore.
Instead, the results from the preseason semis will be carried over to their Invitationals standings.
As such, PLDT and Chery Tiggo will enter the new conference with 1-0 records following their respective semis wins while Creamline and Cignal will face early 0-1 disadvantages.
