"'Yung composure (mahalagang ma-build for me) kasi nu'ng sa start, medyo 'di ako nakaka-help sa team so minotivate ko talaga yung sarili ko (to stay composed)," said Santos.
"Maganda rin 'yung naging gising ko. And nakikinig ako kina coach (Rald Ricafort) kasi binibigyan nila ako ng chances para makabawi, so tinake ko na yung opportunity na 'to for a good start."
While Russian ace Lena Samoilenko topscored with 20 markers and nine receptions, PLDT banked on its net defense with a whopping 11 kill blocks — five of which came from Majoy Baron.
Fiola Ceballos, one of PLDT’s go-to locals on offense, paired her eight-point night with 12 digs and five receptions.
Nxled locals carry load
It was also Nxled’s locals who carried the scoring load on an off-night for American import Meegan Hart, who finished with just seven points in the loss.
Chiara Permentilla paced the Chameleons in their second straight defeat with 15 points, while Trisha Genesis added 12 more.
