PLDT completed a ruthless two-day takedown of Creamline, beating the Cool Smashers again, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to capture bronze in the 2026 PVL Invitational.
The High Speed Hitters had already dealt Creamline a crushing blow on Sunday, denying the league’s most decorated franchise what would have been a record-extending 16th PVL Finals appearance.

Two days later, PLDT doubled down, shutting the door on the Cool Smashers’ podium bid and securing bronze for the second straight conference.
For Creamline, the back-to-back defeats capped a bitter campaign that began with title hopes in its brief run with Jaja Santiago-Minowa but ended with another podium miss, its second in the last three conferences.
Savi Davison again delivered a routine triple-double with 29 points, 15 digs and 13 receptions, while Jovy Prado came through in the clutch with 12 points and 15 receptions. Kianna Dy added 10 points, including two blocks.
"I'm just happy we're all healthy coming out of it.I'm happy that we were able to finish on a win. To us, although we weren't able to make it to the finals, I am so proud of our group. I'm so proud how we were able to bounce back from the earlier losses," Davison said.
Jaja Santiago-Minowa’s swan song ended with 19 points and three blocks for Creamline, with Jema Galanza adding 16 points and nine digs. Tots Carlos had 11 points, while Ishie Lalongisip impressed in taking over Alyssa Valdez’s spot as the lead outside hitter for most of the match and finishing with 10 points.
Not much separated PLDT and Creamline throughout the four-set contest, with the late breaks ultimately deciding where each frame would swing.
Just like in the first two sets, the High Speed Hitters and Cool Smashers split the spoils before PLDT made sure the match would not reach a fifth set like it did last Sunday.
