PETRO Gazz marched onto the PVL Finals for the sixth time in franchise history at Akari’s expense, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

The second-seeded Angels finished the round-robin semis play in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference with a three-game sweep of Akari, Creamline and Choco Mucho.

In total, Petro Gazz has only lost twice in the 17 matches it played so far this conference en route to the best-of-three championship series.

All focus now shifts to the Angels’ first finals appearance in five campaigns, having last made the title round in the 2023 1st All-Filipino Conference where they squandered a 1-0 series lead to Creamline in the four-set rubber match.

Will Petro Gazz end three years of futility?

Meanwhile, as Akari drops to 1-2, it has now been relegated to the battle for third.
