PETRO Gazz kept Air Force grounded with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-23 victory, posting its first winning streak in the PVL Open Conference on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.
The Angels sustained their fine play from a three-set demolition of Pacifictown-Army on Wednesday, unleashing another balanced attack to beat the Lady Jet Spikers in just an hour and 19 minutes.
Cherry Nunag and Jov Prado led Petro Gazz with 10 points apiece. Jeanette Panaga and Paneng Mercado had eight points each, while Jonah Sabete had seven markers and seven digs.
The Angels climbed to fourth place with a 3-2 win-loss record behind Creamline at 6-0, Motolite at 4-1 and BanKo at 4-2.
“Mabuti naman na nakadalawang sunod na panalo na so hopefully magtuloy-tuloy pa talaga,” said Petro Gazz coach Arnold Laniog.
“Pero yung game namin marami pa talagang kailangan trabahuhin,” Laniog added.
Dell Palomata scored 12 points for Air Force, winless in five matches.
