PETRO Gazz and Creamline look to finish off their semifinal rivals and arrange a title showdown in the PVL Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.

The top-seeded Angels look to sweep No. 4 BanKo the second match of the best-of-three semifinal series at 2 p.m.

No. 2 Creamline also tries to eliminate third seed Pacifictown-Army in the 4 p.m. match.

PetroGazz is looking to make its first finals appearance in the league, but Janisa Johnson of the US and Wilma Salas of Cuba said the Angels are not looking past the Perlas Spikers.

“We have to stay focused and prepare for anything because we don’t know what’s coming our way,” Johnson told reporters after the first match.

“We can’t have expectations so we have to play our hardest and give everything.”

Creamline, meanwhile, eyes its third straight finals appearance.

Cool Smashers skipper Alyssa Valdez is reminding her teammates led by Kuttika Kaewpin of Thailand and Ale Blanco of Venezuela to be consistent.

“We have to take it na parang same normal game, we can’t pressure ourselves that we need to win,” Valdez told reporters.

“Balance lang yung eagerness, calmness and composed na team kasi doon kami nagstruggle lalo na sa past few games namin.”

The Lady Troopers hope to finally beat the Cool Smashers in this tournament and force a rubber match.

Army’s Ukrainian import Olena Lymareva-Flink, who scored 31 points in the series opener, stressed the need for better defense.

“I think that Creamline was better,” Lymareva-Flink told reporters after the match three days ago.

“They played together as a team and we couldn't reach that.”

“We need to push more, we need to defend more because in the regular season, we've been like one of the best defending teams on the stats.”

BanKo is also hoping to spoil PetroGazz and Stix Horton, who replaced Yasemin Yildirim in the series opener, hopes to play much better.

“No pressure at all, just to have fun. They said to come out here and just bring energy to the team. I know moving forward, we're really going to be really good,” said Horton on Wednesday after scoring 11.
