UNIVERSITY of Perpetual Help earned its first back-to-back wins in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference as the Altas took down the La Salle Green Spikers, 25-10, 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, on Wednesday at the Arena in San Juan.
Already out of contention with five losses, the Altas continued to fight in preparation for their title defense in the NCAA Season 94 in November.
Riding the crest of a four-set victory over rival Arellano University, Perpetual Help notched its first win streak in the conference.
Ronniel Rosales led Perpetual Help with 13 points off eight attacks, three service aces and a pair of blocks. NCAA Most Valuable Player Joebert Almodiel and skipper John Patrick Ramos chipped in 12 hits apiece, while Ridzuan Muhali topped the attacking department of the team with nine kills for 11 markers.
The Altas improved to 3-5 win-loss record and hope to wrap up their PVL stint on a high note facing NCAA rival San Beda (2-5) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Green Spikers suffered their second straight loss with their 33 errors costing them. Geraint Bacon had 14 points, Kieffer Reyes scored 11 and Rhian Llige added 10.
Also-ran La Salle dropped to 2-6 slate and will try to end its stint with a victory when it battles winless Arellano University (0-8) on Saturday at 9 a.m.
