PAU Soriano and Lilet Mabbayad are willing to accept the sanctions meted by Philippine Super Liga after suiting up for Bureau of Customs in the Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference.

Soriano and Mabbayad were banned for one year by the PSL and fined P50,000 after they saw action for BoC in the Transformers' 25-23, 25-18, 25-22 win over University of the Philippines on Monday.

As per PSL policy, players under contact are not allowed to play in any other tournament outside the PSL. Soriano and Mabbayad suited up for Standard Insurance Navy, which finished sixth in the PSL All-Filipino Conference this year.

But the two are sticking to their decisions despite the consequences.

“Siyempre ito 'yung choice ko at kailangan kong i-face ‘yung consequence sa ginawa kong desisyon,” said Soriano.

“Oo alam naman namin (na suspended and may fine kami) kung anong mangyari, go lang kahit anong mangyari,” added Mabbayad.

Although they knew that they will be sanctioned, Soriano said their decision to play came about when the two Thai imports were not allowed to suit up due to technicalities involving the documents.

“Since hindi na nakapaglaro ‘yung import namin, ayaw naman namin matalo ‘yung team namin ng first game,” said the former Adamson skipper. “Gusto namin mag-start kami ng maayos.

"‘Yung love at concern namin sa team nandoon. Come what may, maglalaro kami dahil kailangan kami ng team.”
