OLENA Lymareva-Flink erupted with 29 points as Pacifictown-Army made short work of BanKo, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20, to clinch the third semifinals berth in the PVL Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan City.
The Ukrainian had 23 kills and six service aces as Army finished the eliminations with a 5-5 win-loss record, joining Petro Gazz and Creamline in the semifinals.
Jenelle Jordan scored 11 points as arrested its two-match skid and stopped the Perlas Spikers’ two-match winning streak.
“This is our A game,” said Army head coach KungFu Reyes. “Almost fluid yung galaw, maganda yung service at first ball. May mga lapses pero nakakaatake yung spikers namin especially Olena.”
Nobody scored in double figures for Perlas Spikers, with Dzi Gervacio and Sutadta Chuewulim delivering eight points apiece, while leading scorer Nicole Tiamzon was limited to only five markers.
BanKo finished the elimination round in fourth place with a 4-6 record, hoping to avoid a playoff for the last semifinal berth.
It PetroGazz beats Motolite in the next match, BanKo advances to the semifinals.
A Motolite win over PetroGazz will force a playoff for No.4 spot with BanKo on Sunday.
