NXLED continued to make the most of the preseason roadshow, racing to a second victory in the 2026 PVL on Tour after sweeping Galeries Tower, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20, in the league’s first-ever stop in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
The Chameleons became only the second team to notch two victories in the preseason caravan, joining ZUS Coffee after putting together back-to-back sweeps of Capital1 and now Galeries Tower.
Nxled’s latest win down south was hardly a cakewalk, but Myla Pablo’s 14-point outing and newcomer Gel Cayuna’s balanced playmaking, highlighted by 16 excellent sets and four points, made the Chameleons pull through.

Still without three-time PVL MVP Brooke Van Sickle, the Chameleons were made to sweat by a re-energized Highrisers side that stayed within striking distance for most of the match and repeatedly threatened to steal a set.
The first two frames, in particular, went down to the closing points, with Nxled needing late breaks and two-point cushions to fend off Galeries Tower in identical 25-23 finishes.
Lyann de Guzman and EJ Laure-Carino provided much of the needed push for the Chameleons, coming through with timely contributions as Nxled found ways to close out both tight sets despite the Highrisers refusing to go away.
"The players showed their real value, and against teams like Galeries, which have a very good serve and a very good block, we know we’ve got to fight," said Nxled head coach Ettore Guidetti.
"We are simply trying to take away the little mistakes and show some little coverage, and I think we played really good."
The win also pushed the Chameleons ahead in the PVL on Tour’s unique prize-money race.
With P100,000 awarded for every victory and P50,000 for every defeat, Nxled now owns the biggest prize pot in the preseason caravan with P250,000 through three matches.
The Chameleons have one more opportunity to add to that haul when they wrap up their On Tour schedule against Farm Fresh in Lanao del Norte.
Galeries Tower, meanwhile, absorbed its first defeat of the preseason tour after opening with a four-set win over Farm Fresh in Batangas City, despite Erika Deloria’s 13 points, 16 receptions and seven digs and Jean Asis’ five blocks in an 11-point effort.
