NATIONAL University snapped a two-match skid, downing Iriga, 25-15, 25-16, 25-18, on Monday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
Jorelle Singh scored 12 points, Jaja Santiago added nine markers and setter Jasmine Nabor had an all-around effort with 10 points, including four blocks, and registered 26 of the team’s 27 excellent sets.
Still, NU coach Roger Gorayeb was not entirely pleased with the Lady Bulldogs’ performance.
After dominating the opening set, the Lady Bulldogs started flat in the second set, 0-4, before getting back on track for an 8-5 lead and widening the gap, 10-5.
NU, which lost to Pocari Sweat and Bali Pure, improved its win-loss record to 2-2, tied with Laoag.
Shola Alvarez scored eight points for Iriga (1-3).
