SAVI Davison is back and ready to go for PLDT after taking a three-month break to return to Canada.
The PVL’s reigning best outside hitter missed the first three games of the 2025 PVL on Tour — all of which PLDT won with just one set dropped.

In her brief on-court return, Davison fired two quick hits in her third-set cameo as the High Speed Hitters booked the second ticket to the knockout quarterfinals by sweeping Nxled, 25-11, 25-17, 25-21, on Saturday.
But for PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort, slow and steady wins the race.
Ricafort was in no rush to bring Davison back to his rotation, keeping her on the bench for the first two sets in her first game back with the likes of Kianna Dy, Kiesha Bedonia and Jovy Prado still unbeaten as the team’s lead scoring trio.
The way he puts it, “may gigil pa [si Savi].”
With at least a week-long break to come as the knockout rounds unfold, Ricafort is prioritizing a full return to fitness and form for PLDT’s most lethal scoring weapon on hand.
“Conditioning, okay naman siya. Talagang yung pag-integrate lang ulit [sa team],” Davison said.
“Medyo naiba yung system this time dahil sa mga lineups ng nakakalaro pero yun nga, dahan-dahan, makakabalik.
“Kung mabalik [si Savi] sa dati na [pagiging] scoring machine, mas makakatulong pa ‘yun.”
Davison set a single-conference scoring record of 296 points in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, norming 26.9 points per game.
The Fil-Canadian winger led the spiking department that conference (39.35 percent efficiency), fourth in blocking (0.63 blocks per set) and fifth in receiving (27.98 percent efficiency) where she was second-overall among non-liberos.
