MOTOLITE debuts in the Premier Volleyball League on Saturday against Pacifictown-Army at the Arena in San Juan.

Two-time MVP Myla Pablo leads the team coached by Air Padda and featuring University of the Philippines stars Isa Molde, Tots Carlos and Ayel Estrañero and Adamson’s Eli Soyud, Bern Flora and Thang Ponce in the 4 p.m. match against the Lady Troopers.

Motolite is parading Bosnian import Edina Selimovic and Trinidad and Tobago national team member Channon Thompson, who replaced first choice import Gyselle Silva after sustaining a shoulder injury.

The Lady Troopers, meanwhile, look to bounce back after the team led by Jovelyn Gonzaga, Nene Bautista and Royse Tubino and imports Jenelle Jordan and Lena Lymarova-Flynk after a loss to Creamline that put them at 1-1.

Opening-day losers BaliPure and BanKo clash in the 2 p.m. match.

The Water Defenders are expected to field import Danijela Dzakovic after reportedly resolving International Transfer Certificate issues that caused her to miss the match against the Lady Troopers.

Dzakovic joins Slovakian import Alexandra Vajdova and locals Grazielle Bombita, Menchie Tubiera, Satrianni Espiritu and setter Vira Guillema.

The Perlas Spikers, on the other hand, are hoping to get better performances from imports Kia Bright and Yasemin Yildirim.

With the imports struggling, Nicole Tiamzon led the team 11 points as they got beaten by Petro Gazz in three sets last week.
