MYLA Pablo was left to rue Pocari Sweat's porous defense in the aftermath of a 15-25, 25-17, 19-25, 19-25 loss to Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday.
When asked about what went wrong in the match at the Filoil Flying Centre, Pablo pointed out the team's frontline that allowed the Cool Smashers to pounce on them the entire match.
No matter how well she did on offense, it wasn't just enough to make up for the gaping hole in the Lady Warriors' defense.
"Wala kaming blocking. Wala kami sa gitna kaya nahihirapan kami sa likod," said Pablo, who finished with 26 points including two blocks.
"Mahirap magbasa kasi nga yung gitna butas so hindi namin alam kung saan pupwesto. So tuwing nagda-down the line kami, gitna ang palo. Nahihirapan kami sa blockings talaga. Alam din naman namin na nagkulang kami ngayon."
That's what the defending champions need to adress as they eye to sweep their last three games to secure a better seeding in the semifinals.
"Oo naman (gusto namin ma-sweep) para pasok kami sa Final Four," she said. "Gusto talaga namin na ma-sweep yung last three games namin para another Final Four na naman. Paghahandaan talaga namin."
But it won't be an easy job for the Lady Warriors, who will face Adamson in its next game.
"Grabe rin talaga ang Adamson ngayon eh. Marami silang bagong ipinasok. Paghahadaan talaga namin lahat ng games namin kasi lahat talaga ng teams malalakas talaga eh," she said.
