BALIWAG, Bulacan — Pocari Sweat snapped a two-match losing run in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference, beating BanKo, 16-25, 26-24, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13, on Sunday at Baliwag Star Arena.
Skipper Myla Pablo had 24 points and 10 digs as the Lady Warriors improved to 4-3 to end the first round of elimination on a high note.
Iari Yongco had 17 points, while Jeanette Panaga scored 13 and Del Palomata chipped in 10 for Pocari Sweat, which dealt BanKo its second straight loss.
“Kailangan kasi talaga naming manalo,” said Pocari Sweat coach Jasper Jimenez, whose team came from a five-set loss to Tacloban on Saturday.
“Kasi down kami ng dalawang game na puro five-sets, so sabi ko hindi na dapat maulit ‘to, dapat lesson learned na ‘to, kunin naman natin ‘to so nag materialize naman and nagtrabaho sila,” he added.
Dzi Gervacio led the way for BanKo with 23 points, while Kathy Bersola added 15, team captain Sue Roces had 13 and Joy Dacoron contributed 12 markers.
The Perlas Spikers slid to 5-2.
