MYLA Pablo added another badge of honor to her breakout PVL season with a conference-high 22 points in Petro Gazz's four-set win over ZUS Coffee.
The only thing running in the former PVL MVP’s mind as she earned her place back in Petro Gazz’ starting rotation in the All-Filipino conference is her late father Emiliano who passed away five years ago.

“‘Para ‘to sa dad ko. He passed away. Siya ‘yung number one fan ko,” Pablo told SPIN.ph.
“Until now, nandu’n pa rin ‘yung motivation ko para sa kanya. Bawat laro ko, para sa kanya. (Sinasabi ko lagi na) ‘Pa, daddy, para sa’yo ‘yung game na ‘to.’”
The Angels’ second-leading scorer also admitted how she hasn’t fully moved on nearly half a decade since his father’s passing.
It’s the lack of a proper closure from a loss which she considers to be her greatest heartache.
Although his ‘papa’ might not be there to watch her games anymore, Pablo knows deep in her heart that amid her resurgent run of form, his number one fan continues to cheer him on.
“Matagal na rin (siyang nawala) pero hindi ko pa rin tanggap until now kasi siyempre, favorite daughter niya ko,” said Pablo.
“Siya lang talaga ‘yung nanonood lagi ng games ko.
“Minsan, iniisip ko kahit wala na siya, I feel dito sa heart ko na tinutulungan niya pa rin ako at ini-imagine ko na nanonood pa rin siya ng laro ko.”
