MYLA Pablo and Chie Saet have already won PVL championships with Petro Gazz in conferences past.
Saet was part of the team’s two title runs in the 2019 and 2022 editions of the Reinforced Conference, while Pablo was playing her first stint as part of the Angels during the latter.
What those championship campaigns had in common? Both were import-laden tournaments where Petro Gazz had an array of MVPs and best import winners in the late Janisa Johnson, Wilma Salas and Lindsey Vander Weide.

Three times the Angels reached an Open/All-Filipino Conference final just to fall short to Creamline in all occasions.
Should Petro Gazz capture that elusive All-Filipino crown this year, it might just be the sweetest title win yet for both Pablo and Saet.
“Iba pa rin talaga pag All-Filipino. Kapag Reinforced kasi, ‘di lang naman sa import yung gumagawa, pero sa All-Filipino kasi, lahat yan, tulong-tulong as a team hanggang sa makuha yung Finals,” Pablo said.
“Sabi nga ni coach Koji [Tsuzurabara], di lang 100 percent. 200 percent talaga ibibigay namin. Nasa finals na kami, ba’t bibitawan pa namin?”
And for ‘mommy Chie,’ one of Petro Gazz’ pioneering players since the team’s inception in 2018, winning an All-Filipino Conference would mean everything.

“Yung difference (from 2019 and 2022), may import kasi. Ngayon, mas mataas yung expectation kasi All-Filipino na ‘to,” Saet said.
“This time, we will do our very best. Uulitin ko, gaya ng sinasabi sa’min ni coach Koji, we will play and enter the Finals with our 200 percent.
“Naandito na kami, pinagtrabahuhan namin nang maayos, pinaghirapan namin. Kami yung pinalad, sinwerte, so gagawan namin ito ng paraan para tapusin nang maayos.”
