MYLA Pablo showed her heart is as big as her game in leading Pocari Sweat over Power Smashers, 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 15-11, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
The open spiker from Tarlac scored 30 points, all from spikes, to hand the Lady Warriors their third straight win to earn the top spot (3-0).
Down 8-9 in the fifth set, Pablo scored back-to-back points to give Pocari Sweat the lead, 11-9, before she pushed the Lady Warriors at match point, 14-9.
“Inisip ko talaga na kailangan pag lumalamang sila, kailangan (lumaban) kami,” said Pablo after the match that took two hours and six minutes to finish.
Pablo said that she asked their setter Gyzelle Sy to give her the ball down the stretch and she’ll do everything she can to deliver.
Pocari Sweat will have one week to prepare before it faces Creamline on Saturday.
