POCARI Sweat downed Baguio, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15, on Saturday for its fourth win in as many matches in the V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Saturday.
Top hitters Michele Gumabao and Myla Pablo sat out the match but the Lady Warriors still proved too much for the Summer Spikers, winless in four matches.
Rossan Fajardo scored 15 points on 11 kills and four service aces, while former National University skipper Cai Nepomuceno added 12 from seven hits, three blocks and two service aces.
“Injuries kasi si Michele parang mayroong rupture sa abdomen niya so she needs to rest and si Myla sa back so advise ng doctor is to rest,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella, who stressed that he gives the same trust to all of his players.
“Kampante kami na, oo malaking kawalan sina Michele at Myla, pero we know and I believe doon sa players namin na kinuha nandoon sa team namin,” he added.
“They are all capable na gampanan kung sino man ang wala sa team namin.”
Elaine Kasilag had nine points for Pocari Sweat, while Rose Vargas chipped in six.
Maria Tsuchiya scored seven points for Baguio.
