Michele Gumabao says she could be out possibly three games.

TOP hitters Michele Gumabao and Myla Pablo will be out indefinitely due to injuries, leaving Pocari Sweat with a crew of role players in the next matches in the V-League Open Conference.

Gumabao is out with a strained abdomen, while Pablo has back problems.

“No time frame yet kasi magkakaroon kami ulit ng check up I think on Wednesday,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella.

Pablo hurt her back during a bad landing at practice and was brought to the hospital. She was advised not to play for at least two matches.

“Sa training lang namin noong Wednesday, so nag-land ako sa spiking biglang pagbagsak ko nanigas buong katawan ko, so mga 10 minutes later doon ko na naramdaman ‘yung pain noong nasa ospital na ako,” said Pablo.

“Nagpa-MRI na ako. Bawal akong maglaro ng two games kasi mahihirapan ako pag may blocker ako kasi pwersahan ’yun eh lalo mainjured ang likod ko,” she added.

Gumabao has missed only one match and already she is aching to get back in action.

Pero, wala talaga eh,” said the former La Salle ace.

“Indefinite pa kasi walang gamot aside from rest and hindi ako pwede mag-pain medication kasi kailangan ko maramdaman kung kalian siya masakit kundi mapupunit siya, kailangan ko siya pakiramdaman all the time,” she added.

“No abrupt movements, even training wala talaga ako magawa kahit gym wala talaga, kasi ‘yung core doon talaga nanggagaling lahat ‘di ba,” she continued.

Although Pablo can join the training, she can only block and receive.

Pocari Sweat will have a week off before facing Iriga on Saturday.

The Lady Warriors are on top with a 4-0 win-loss record.
