POCARI Sweat extended its winning run to five, downing Bali Pure, 25-16, 12-25, 25-21, 25-19, on Saturday in the Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena.
The Open Conference Champions joined University of Sto. Tomas on top with a 5-1 win-loss record.\
American import Bre Mackie led the Lady Warriors with 23 points, Myla Pablo scored 11 and Michele Gumabao added nine.
“Happy but there’s still a lot of things we need to improve on, like ’yung receive namin which let us down sa second set doon din nakalamang ang Bali Pure ng malaki,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella.
Pocari Sweat will face UST on Wednesday to end the elimination round.
“We’ll still push for the No. 1 spot kahit na pasok na kami but I know UST will give us a good fight,” he added.
Kate Morrell scored 21 and Sue Roces added 10 for for Bali Pure, which suffered its second loss in six outings.
