MICH Cobb was taken to the hospital after a scary fall in Akari’s four-set win over Nxled in their PVL All-Filipino Conference game on Thursday.
The incident happened with Akari up 5-3 in the second set, as Cobb's failed attempt to retrieve the second ball led to a bad landing with her neck immediately in pain.

The Akari captain was ‘responsive’ after being stretchered off the court and did not feel any dizziness in the immediate aftermath of the on-court incident.
She was briefly assessed by the team’s medical staff at the Philsports Arena and was sent to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan for further tests.
Team manager Mozzy Ravena gave an update on Cobb’s status after the match.
“She’s in ths hospital for X-ray and CT scan just to make sure. She was conscious naman going there,” Ravena told SPIN.ph.
Akari coach Taka Minowa added: “She just went to the hospital. She felt something (in her neck). That's why we're not sure about serious injury or not. So far, she just went to the hospital and now being checked up."

While Cobb's status is uncertain, Grethcel Soltones is set to return soon from a knee injury after missing the team’s first two matches of 2025.
“She tried to play against PLDT, but she still has pain on the knee. After the PLDT game, in these three days, she made it for checking up,” Minowa said.
“We don't have any result so, we're not sure, but hopefully, she can come back soon.”
