The Chargers’ team captain also shared an update on social media for the first time since the on-court incident.

“Thank you everyone for all your well wishes! I will be okay! Naia is here to help hehe,” Cobb wrote on Friday.
Cobb fell awkwardly in an attempt to retrieve the ball early in the second set where she ended up twisting her neck.
She was taken off the court on a stretcher and was assessed by the medical staff at the Philsports Arena.

The team decided to send Cobb to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan where a series of X-rays and CT scans were conducted.
With their captain down, the Chargers still willed their way to their first victory of 2025 and fourth this conference.
Akari evened its record to 4-4, good for solo sixth in the team standings with three matches left in prelims play.
It remains uncertain whether Cobb will return to action straight away in Akari’s next match against Capital1 on Feb. 1.
