After a brief stint in sick bay, the decorated mentor is set to return to the Cool Smashers’ bench just in time for their high-stakes preliminary round finale against Cignal, where their spot in the qualifying round is at stake.
The timing couldn’t be more urgent as just days ago, Meneses was absent from the sidelines in Sta. Rosa, forced to sit out Creamline’s clash with Farm Fresh after being rushed to the hospital due to an undisclosed illness.

Without their multi-titled shot-caller, the Cool Smashers struggled to find their usual rhythm, one worsened by the absences of MVP outside hitters Jema Galanza and Bernadeth Pons.
Creamline eventually bowed to a surging Farm Fresh side that took full advantage of a depleted and disjointed champion side in Sta. Rosa.
Tonight, the Cool Smashers need to overcome a dangerous Cignal squad eyeing the top seed with a win or risk sliding to the play-in stage.
