MARS Alba has signed with Akari after over a year with Choco Mucho.
Her shock Flying Titans exit was fueled by her recent string of absences in the team’s offseason activities.

Choco Mucho’s head-scratching move to draft a setter in Fil-American Tia Andaya even with three spikers out in Sisi Rondina, Kat Tolentino, and Dindin Manabat also indicated Alba’s imminent departure.

The former UAAP champion was ultimately excluded from the Flying Titans' PVL on Tour roster, as the tournament coincided with her Alas Pilipinas duties in the 2025 VTV Cup where she was a reserve.
Much-needed addition for Akari
Alba joins an Akari side in need of veteran playmaking experience following the retirement of fellow La Salle setter Mich Cobb, who is now the team’s assistant manager and setting coach.
As such, she’ll be joining young setters Kamille Cal and Bea Bonafe in setting up the Chargers’ new era under one of the sport’s all-time playmaker greats in Tina Salak.
Akari has only won once in its first four preseason outings.
