IT was only a matter of time before Majoy Baron switched gears and went full throttle in her debut conference with PLDT.
With a quick sweep of Akari in their first game back after the Holy Week break, Baron and the High Speed Hitters regained a share of the lead with last conference's finalists Creamline and Choco Mucho at 6-1 (win-loss).
In PLDT's last two victories against Farm Fresh and Akari, both in straight-sets, Baron earned Player of the Game honors with a two-game average of 12 points built on 7.5 attacks, 2.5 aces and two blocks.

As she rides on her best run of form at PLDT, Baron was quick to point out how adjusting to head coach Rald Ricafort's system in such short a time gave her a much-needed confidence boost which has now began translating into strong performances.
"Nakukuha ko na 'yung galaw na maayos and nakaka-adjust na ako sa system ni Coach Rald (Ricafort). Nag-eenjoy lang ako sa game and mas kumpiyansa na ako ngayon [sa sarili ko with PLDT]," Baron said.
The 2023 PVL Invitational Conference's 1st Best Middle Blocker underlined how a key part of her transition as a High Speed Hitter was to apply the three-part regimen preached by the PLDT coaching staff: rest, study and execute.
"(Nag-wowork) for me 'yung routine siguro na na-establish ng coaches na proper rest and then proper aral sa kalaban and then proper execution," she said.
