Lorenzo Capate Jr does it again as Cignal hitter runs away with PVL MVP trophy

CIGNAL hitter Lorenzo Capate Jr. bagged Most Valuable Player award in the men's division of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

Capate, also the Finals MVP of the Reinforced Conference, tallied a 47.30 percent success rate in dominating the attacks category.

He also came in sixth among the best servers with an average of 0.27 service aces per set and finished eighth overall in scoring with a total of 79 points, from 70 spikes, three blocks and six aces in leading the HD Spikers to a 6-1 win-loss record in the elimination round.

Meanwhile, Philippine Air Force’s Edwin Tolentino was the first Best Outside Spiker, Sta. Elena’s Isaah Arda was the second Best Outside Spiker, Kim Malabunga and Francis Saura of Mega Builders the first and second Best Middle Blockers, respectively, while Berlin Paglinawan of Sta. Elena was the Best Opposite Hitter award.
