ADAMSON University secured the third semifinal berth after surviving hard fighting College of Saint Benilde, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 31-29, on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
The Falcons and Blazers figured in a toe-to-toe duel in the fourth set that reached six deuces, with Adamson escaping with the much-needed win in one hour and 23 minutes.
Adamson placed third in the elimination round with a 6-3 win-loss record.

The Falcons will battle the No. 2 seed in a best-of-three semifinals starting next week.
Unbeaten University of Sto. Tomas (8-0) and National University (7-1) dispute the No.1 spot on Sunday at 9 a.m.
Vince Abrot scored 20 points, as Roniey Adviento had 15 hits and Joshua De Sequera added 13 for St. Benilde.
Despite the loss, St. Benilde stayed at fourth place with a 5-4 record and will face in a playoff the winner of the elims match between joint fifth placers FEU (4-4) and UP (4-4) on Sunday at 11 a.m.
