FAR Eastern University rode the momentum of a strong fourth set romp and dominated University of Santo Tomas in the decider for a 25-16, 19-25, 27-29, 25-15, 15-10

Victory to emerge as the no. 3 seed team in the semis of the Shakey’s V-League Season 12 Collegiate Conference Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Tamaraws finished the quarterfinals with a 5-2 card in a tie with National University for second spot, but the Lady Bulldogs took the no. 2 seeding with a higher tiebreak score.

FEU and NU will clash in a best-of-three series in the Final Four.

The loss dropped UST to fourth place at 4-3 and faces the specter of going through a playoff with Arellano U (3-3), in case the Lady Chiefs get past the ousted St. Benilde Lady Blazers at the close of the quarters phase on Sunday.

The Tigresses threatened last at 10-14 after falling by seven match points at 7-14, but Royse Tubino scored off-the-block to wrap it up and seal a semis showdown with the Lady Bulldogs.
