THAI import Kuttika Kaewpin showed the way as Creamline fought back from a set down to beat BanKo, 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-23, on Sunday for its second straight win in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
Kaewpin had 27 points as the Cool Smashers gained a share of second spot with idle Pacifictown-Army at 2-1 in the six-team tournament.
The returning import had 18 kills and nine service aces, while the whol BanKo team made only eight aces. She also had 15 excellent receptions and eight digs.
Skipper Alyssa Valdez delivered 19 points off 15 kills, three blocks and an ace, while Venezuelan import Aleoscar Blanco added 10 points. Jia Morado dished out 22 excellent sets.
“Going into this game we prepared na, kasi gusto naming ibalik yung dating Creamline na nag-champion,” said Creamline assistant coach Ed Ortega. “I think yung naging advantage namin kaya namin nakuha ang back-to-back championships ay because sa service namin and receives namin.“
Kia Bright had 19 point for the Perlas Spikers, who dropped to a 1-2 win-loss record.
Nicole Tiamzon scored 12, Dzi Gervacio added 11, while import Yasemin Yildrim had only three points.
