KURASHIKI Ablaze turned back a fighting PLDT side, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City and reached the PVL Invitational Conference Finals against Creamline.
Skipper Ohshima Kyuka had 19 excellent sets in a Player of the Game-worthy performance while Akane Hiraoka delivered the match-winning spike down the line that doused a spirited stand by PLDT in the fourth set.

The unbeaten Japan guest team matched Creamline's 4-0 (win-loss) going to their match on Friday that was rendered no-bearing after the Ablaze secured the second berth in Sunday's one-game battle for the championship.
PLDT finished the semifinals at 2-3.
“We’ll do our best (against Creamline),” said Kurashiki coach Hideo Suzuki through an interpreter.
