FOR PLDT's newest High Speed Hitter Kianna Dy, playing for a new team also entails playing against players who were teammates for eight years with the now-defunct F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
Sharing opposite ends of the court with the likes of Aby Maraño and Dawn Macandili-Catindig among many others will be an unfamiliar feeling that Dy is eager to experience when the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season goes underway.

"Feeling ko magkaka-staredown staredown (kami) pero 'di (naman) kami 'yung grabe. Matatawa na lang kami kasi we have been teammates for eight years — sila Dawn [Macandili-Catindig], ate Aby [Maraño], super tagal na."

Dy added: "Kaya that’s why I’m super excited to play my teammates kasi never kami naglaban na magkatapat."
Start of something new
With roughly a month to go before the season-opening conference, Dy has redemption on her mind — not only for time lost to injury last year but also for her fellow Cargo Movers Majoy Baron and Kim Fajardo after a difficult eighth-place finish in F2's farewell act.
"Siyempre coming from F2, we didn’t really end on a good note sa last season namin. Hopefully with PLDT, new team, new system, super excited for the next league because I also wasn’t able to play last season," said Dy.
"Just super excited to play with everyone with my new team and my teammates also ate Kim [Fajardo] and Majoy [Baron]. Let’s see," she added.
